My Little Pony: All the G1 Sea Ponies and Where to Get Them

My Little Pony Sea Ponies are among some of the favourites of MLP G1 collectors around the world. Sea ponies were designed to be bath toys, and some of them had weights in their tails in order to help them float at the surface of the water.

Among the accessories included in sea ponies, there were floaties, clam shells with suction cups that stuck to the sides of the bathtub, as well as the traditional combs and ribbons that came with ponies of all species.

Year Two included adult Sea Ponies of three types: Seawinkle, Wavedancer and Sealight. These original sea ponies came with clam shells, a pair of combs and a ribbon.

These beautifully-coloured sea ponies came with clam shells in two variations, a pair of combs and a ribbon. The babies came with floaters.

This unofficial MLP guide to the first generation of My Little Pony (known as G1) was created by Summer Hayes. The book provides everything a collector needs to identify G1 ponies and their accessories, and understand their value. The guide contains large, full colour photos of every pony, playset and accessory released in the US (and in some cases in other countries) in the 1980s and 1990s.
